"The Lonely North Cascades: On Belay, and Off the Beaten Track"

By Jason Griffith

With all the classic climbing in the Cascades it is easy to stick with solid rock, good trails, and lots of beta.  But, if you are looking for solitude and adventure, there is still plenty to be had within a few hour drive of Skagit Valley.  At the September meeting of the Alpine Club, Jason Griffith will share some stories and photos from some of the lesser traveled summits he visited this past summer.  From Monte Cristo to Depot Creek, scrambles to roped climbs, the show will be a sampling of fine range of possibilities right outside our doors.  Please join us Wednesday, September 2nd at 7pm- Skagit Valley College, Walter Roberts Hall- T-31.
